Have you ever felt stuck in a rut? It seems like a never ending cycle.A chain of events that creates confusion and despair. This is the time that you need to muster all the inner strength and EVALUATE….( previously I mentioned this anachronism- Compassion, Authentic, Respect and Evaluate). What can you do differently? Do you need self care? Do you need to make some changes in your life? Do you need to call up that special confidante or friend you trust? Is it time to make some stronger spiritual goals and to strengthen your spiritual practice? We are programmed to be negative…replace with a grateful heart. What are you grateful for today? I challenge you to write down five things. Stop staring at this screen…WRITE IT DOWN!!!Watch miracles happen.Do it daily for two weeks.
I have had a week of missing things; trivial as it may seem, it made me realize that I need to declutter and prioritize. I began my Evaluating process. I realized that I’m multitasking way too much and I need to simply cut out some time wasting habits. Instead of surfing the net read my inspiring book for the five minutes instead. Develop a fixed place for my most important items and simply throw out or donate unnecessary stuff. I ceased the lamentation and the negative talk. I took a time out and a long walk I found both items on the same day; missing glasses and a gold bracelet.
According to Radhanath Swami
“Gratitude is a quality of the heart in which we can spiritually grow, in every situation. But without gratitude, even in the most favourable situation, we cannot really progress.”
I have made a pledge to myself to be more grateful. I encourage you to do the same.
I would like to thank you for all your love and support. For reading my blogs, my posts and for your messages and support. Thank you for buying “Gajendra” and for your enthusiasm. “Gajendra” is not only in Vancouver but it’s now in Texas, New Jersey, England and Trinidad….all in a month. Deeply touched by this. Thank you!Thank you!Thank you! This journey is a beautiful one.
All we need is love,
Julia (Dhama)
Amazing article. Very articulate and thoughtful. Being a person with gratitude in a world filled with those who see the cup half empty can be a struggle in itself.
It’s important to have perspective and work towards a dream or goal without being discouraged.
It is a great disservice to yourself if you let a temporary set back dictate the rest of the outcome.
As for the 5 things I am grateful for:
1. This blog
2. Having a strong outlook
3. Having a positive attitude
4. My family
5. My relationship with God (which can always improve)
Keep going!
