Have you ever noticed the harshness of a tree bark that has weathered the storms and the changing of seasons? This bark can teach us multitude of lessons; the ability to be strong in spite of innumerable challenges. Then we can look at the other parts of the tree.The roots are fully immersed in the soil…not moving…standing firm through the test of time. Sure there are many trees who have been uprooted due to multiple reasons but what I am discussing here are the trees that you see firmly planted… day after day..year after year..The bark stands out for me…rough and beautiful. Try passing your palms on the bark of the tree and you will recognize the toughness, strength and resilience of its being.
Each of us has that ability to be resilient…not crumbling no matter what. We have to embrace the harsh lessons of this world and see it as an opportunity to grow. Sometimes you may feel what is the point of all of this? I say to you carry on and STAND TALL!!!!

When dealing with opposition
STAND TALL!
In responding to negativity
STAND TALL!
Smile through hostility
STAND TALL!
Be like the tree bark resistant,
Continue being persistent,
STAND TALL!
Rely on our creator who has our back,
He always illuminates the dark,
STAND TALL!
See each person as possessing the spark within,
Forgive them for their shortcomings,
STAND TALL!
